Agents For Truth can arrange DNA tests for you across the UK and Ireland with in our opinion the best clinic in the EU, tests can be arranged at a clinic near you or in your own home. Agents For Truth only uses accredited laboratories in the UK & EU, there are other laboratories based outside the EU that some companies use but we would highly recommend against using a laboratory that is not accredited in the EU.
What is DNA and How The Tests Work?
DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) is the molecular blueprint for a living thing from plants to animals to humans. At the point of conception, 50% of your DNA or Genes comes from your biological father and 50% comes from your biological mother. We won’t go to deep into the science but when testing for paternal relationships two cell samples are taken. One from the parent and one from the child, the laboratory will compare the parents DNA to the child’s and if the parent is the biological parent then they will find 50% of the parents DNA in the child’s DNA. There is a similar DNA match for grandparents, siblings and cousins however these will have a different percentage.
Why choose Agents For Truth for your DNA Test?
Agents for Truth only use Labourites in the EU and that are accredited ISO 17025 to insure 100% accurate results and the strictest standard are followed and maintained. The process is very simple just get in touch with us by using the contact form, send us an email or give us a call. We will then pass your details directly to the Labourites who will be in touch and arrange your DNA test with you.
DNA Testing Services
There are a few different services that can be chosen with each type of test depending on the circumstances in question, these include:
Peace of Mind Testing
This type of test is carried out when there are no legal ramifications and you would like a test for your own or families benefit or peace of mind. These tests will not be accepted in a court but are conducted in the same laboratories and at the same high standards as our other tests.
Legal DNA Testing
This type of test is required if the results are to be used in court or for any legal purpose. The protocols are different from a Peace of Mind Test. The participants MUST provide two forms of ID and two passport pictures. In addition the test can only be carried out at one of the clinics or by using the Registered Nurse service. There is a strict protocol that is followed from the sample collector all the way to the laboratories.
Self-Collecting DNA Testing
Agents for Truth’s clinic will send out a free DNA Kit to your address, where you will collect your own mouth swabs. The payment is collected when you return your samples along with your choice of DNA Test. There is no difference in the quality of the test compared to a Peace of Mind Test, but we would always recommended a Peach of Mind Test as this insures no cross contamination or other issues with sample collection.
Some situations require a more advanced test and we will always advise you if this is the case, for example if the suspected fathers are brothers or there is no sample from the mother during a paternity test then we suggest an Advanced DNA Test. Advanced DNA Tests analyses up to 46 DNA locations, both the Peach of Mind and Legal DNA Testing options are available for an Advanced DNA Test.
